What's in my (science) camera bag? My equipment has grown, shrunk, and evolved over the years. Here is a list of my personal photography equipment that I bring on science-focused trips. Because I first and foremost approach photography wearing my scientist's hat, my setup is not ideally designed for 'professional' photography...but I do have that Asian-tourist gene lurking in my DNA ;).
For my round-trip journey to Antarctica, I'll be boarding 8 different planes and transiting ~10-days at sea on an icebreaker. If my checked luggage gets lost, it really pays to have a detailed list of items. Making this list was relatively easy because my camera bag is always packed up and ready - My Science Go Bag...just grab it and GO! The part 2 follow up to this post will be focused on my personal gear. Stay tuned!
