It was a bit tricky photographing a moving zodiac while on another moving zodiac and especially difficult with malfunctioning hands in the cold weather. I strapped a second camera to my forehead just to make sure I properly documented the event.
In the end, one of the zodiacs was designated as the primary ice-coring group while the second zodiac (mine) scientifically documented the process with our cameras.
Being on a zodiac means I had the chance to photograph the LM Gould in the field! Best ice-strengthened ship I've ever sailed on.
